Our Goals:
The primary goals of the Mount Vernon Chapter are to benefit members of the uniformed services, their families and survivors, and to promote a strong national defense.
As a chapter in the National Capital area, we are in a unique position to advocate our viewpoints to DoD, other veterans service organizations, and Congress.
Concurrent with support of MOAA national and state goals, our chapter generates a broad range of activities directed at informing and benefiting our membership while encouraging and facilitating camaraderie.
We support Fort Belvoir Retirees' activities and maintain very active personal affairs and distinguished speakers programs.
We link our members and their spouses to The Officer Placement Service (TOPS) for career transition services (resume critiques, individual counseling, online job postings, etc.)
